Welcome to

hometown Eyecare and optical

Kister Eyecare has been a part of the Riverton community for over forty years. In 2018, we became Hometown Eyecare and Optical and we continue to strive to provide the hometown service that we have offered for decades.

At Hometown Eyecare and Optical our commitment is to provide you with the highest quality of eye care available. We utilize the latest in technology to perform a complete eye exam to help your eyes see and feel their best.

During your exam Dr. Walton can detect and treat eye diseases, as well as prescribe glasses and contact lenses that will give you crystal clear vision.

Our eye care team is dedicated to providing first-class customer service. We are here to answer your questions and ensure that you feel confident in the care you are receiving.

How the Eye Works

hometown eyecare

We are very sensitive of the situation surrounding the current COVID-19 outbreak and are concerned for the safety of our patients, our staff, and our community. Because of the close contact that our patients have with the doctor and technicians, we are making these precautionary requests to prevent any spread of illness:

1. Please stay at home if you have had a fever, cough, or shortness of breath; travelled outside of Wyoming; or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within the last two weeks. If you have an appointment scheduled with us, we will postpone your exam.

2. If you are over the age of 60 or are immunocompromised, please stay safe and consider waiting until our situation clearly improves before calling to schedule an exam.

3. Please wear a face-mask when entering our office. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.

4. We are allowing no more than ten people to be in our office at one time.

5. Please do not bring any family or friends with you to your appointment unless it is absolutely necessary. A child patient may be accompanied by one adult. One caregiver will be allowed with elderly or disabled patients.

6. Please complete our “Health History Form” and review our “HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices” document before coming to your appointment.

7. When you arrive for your exam we will escort you directly to an exam room to prevent any unnecessary contact with others. We will begin each exam by taking your temperature and will reschedule your exam if you have a fever.

8. All surfaces that anyone touches are regularly being cleaned. This includes glasses frames that we have on display, chairs, instruments, and countertops.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this unexpected time.
